Conditions treated by naturopathic doctors are akin to those treated by medical general practitioners/family doctors. As examples, these may include:

  • Metabolic disorders (diabetes, obesity, heart disease, etc)
  • Hormone dysregulation (menstrual irregularities, infertility, etc)
  • Food sensitivities (allergies, intolerances, etc)
  • Gastrointestinal disorders (crohns, colitis, IBS, GERD, ulcers, etc)
  • Immunological disorders (colds/infections, autoimmune disease, etc)
  • Pain syndromes (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, etc)
  • Paediatric conditions (autism spectrum, skin disorders, digestive complaints, immunity, etc)
  • Pre/peri/postnatal care symptoms

During treatment, patients can expect to have a thorough history taken, pertinent physical examination performed, necessary laboratory studies requisitioned and individualized treatment recommended.
